Profile
WBS is a leading international business school, one of the largest in Europe, and first in the UK to gain accreditation from the leading management education associations in the US, Europe, and the UK. WBS provides business education at all levels. Today, WBS has more than 8,000 students from 132 countries, and its active alumni association has more than 25,000 members. WBS has active links with 800-plus organisations across the spectrum of business activity, for teaching, research and sponsorship purposes. Working in partnership with organisations on global, national and local projects, WBS attributes its success to the close relationships it builds with its clients. Organisations from all sectors come to WBS for many reasons: to sponsor managers and directors on MBA and executive development programmes, to collaborate on and learn from leading-edge research, and to access the expertise of faculty in their sector and subject areas.
Areas of specialisation
As a large business school, WBS offers a comprehensive range of business and management education and research and the large number of academic staff mean that subject coverage is greater in both depth and breadth than many other institutions. Within MBA teaching, WBS alumni record specific strengths in strategy, marketing, finance and operations management. The new Global Energy MBA, launched in May 2009, combines the development of strategic leadership skills with a focus on the international energy industry.
Recent clients
The Warwick MBA has more than 650 companies sponsoring individuals or groups of students, including: Airbus, Amey, BNP Paribas, Cadbury, Centrica, Deloitte, E.ON, IBM, Johnson & Johnson, KPMG, Oracle, Schlumberger, Texaco and Vodafone.
